The Voice of the Soldier
|
 |
Behind the Lines is an event which resounds the words
and insights of those who have faced wars, past and present.
It takes place on one of the most auspicious days
of the calendar this century, the 11th day of the 11th month, 2011. The one-off performance will take place at 7.30pm at
the Central School of Speech and Drama, London, bringing together the voices of those who served in distant and recent wars.
The words of current and recent servicemen will be placed alongside those deceased. They themselves
will be speaking alongside actors, but it is the voice of the soldier that will be heard, spoken or sung. Sometimes
tragic, sometimes funny, always moving, words and music combine in Behind the Lines to offer a unique insight into those
who experienced war first hand.
